From the AbyssThere was only quiet darkness and the caressing weight of everything; it was this way always. The only changes to the eternal chasm were the subtle vibrations, an occasional scent of flesh, a throb of foreign heart-blood, or the irresistible glow of luminescence. These things seemed to arrive just before hunger but vanished quickly into the maw, sating it. Lyar was content with this existence. He never wanted for anything. From the Abyss by SilverSugar
Until suddenly, he did.
Lyar began to shift. He rarely stirred, only for food did he dare twitch a muscle and there was nothing to be found. No movement. No speck. No light.
No prey. No life.
That was the problem, wasn't it? A meal had never failed to appear before his hunger expanded. Yet now, maw empty, he was hungry. It had always been so. Within the black, Lyar reached out. Sensing his own heart-blood pulse and vibration quickening, he grew tense. He had the signs! Yes, he was now displaying the very same signs as the things he ate. Was there a greater maw than h
The Fox and the RavenThe bell for homeroom rang promptly at seven forty-five every day. Todd Russell had never heard this bell, he was always far too busy meandering about the grounds and doing nothing in particular. Today was no different. Nonchalantly ruffling invisible dander out of his thick red hair Todd strode into class, fifteen minutes late, and took his usual seat in the back. None of his class-mates even batted an eye at his tardiness. The teacher however paused in her ramblings about the upcoming formal long enough to to add, “Nice to see you so early for once, Mr. Russell.” Todd just leaned back in his chair, threw his feet up on the desk, and ignored her sarcasm. Normally he only bothered to show up at the tail-end of homeroom, but lately he'd found something interesting in the seat in front of him to make coming in early worth it.The Fox and the Raven by SilverSugar
Korbin Brennan was one of those 'quiet types', bordering on goth, always buried in a book or dutifully taking notes in class. He was the
The Woman with Two FacesTain Village was long known for quaint flower shops, a charming dress-maker, simple yet scrumptious bakery, and a woman with two faces. One face was an ugly grey stare. As for her other face, none could say...The Woman with Two Faces by SilverSugar
No one who had seen the grey woman's face had been heard from in the small village for quite some time. It was rumored these people, had fled from her horrible sight to the great faraway city, Polseq. Many Tainese avoided the woman when they could. The local school-boys, however, had a bet with one another: “See how close you can get to the grey woman and goad her to reveal her second face!” The winner would get a satchel coins collected from their lunches.
One day, a poor youth ran up to the woman. He had no bet to claim, but still asked her, “If I should impress you, would you show me your other face?” The woman shrugged. With that, the boy gently took her hand, planted a soft kiss, and whispered, “They're wrong about you, you're beautiful.”
|Please Note: I do not write an individual "thank you for the favorite" type message when a given favorite (or gallery folder add) on my stamps, guides, memes, tutorials, or stock art. I also quite often simply forget to reply to regular deviation favorites right away and I don't want to thank people for something done weeks ago.|
Favorites are always greatly appreciated no matter what, and any comment left on one of my pieces will be read and replied to as necessary. Thank you for taking the time to view my gallery~!
Why Am I Here? Why Am I Here? by PumpkabooChu
Today you asked me;
"Why are you here?"
What could it be?
My answer must endear.
But nothing came,
Not one word.
What a shame,
Not to be heard.
I just smiled,
Reached for your hand.
I was like a child
Who had been banned.
You left me alone,
Looking like a fool.
My tears not shown.
You where so cruel.
But then I thought,
More and more,
I found what I sought,
Its you I adore.
I went to get you,
I told you who I love!
Your smile bright and anew,
Now a love to speak of.
